Week 1 Activity: My Qualifications
Today, you will submit the first activity . Read the instructions below and write 2 paragraphs. Look at the example and follow the format for my qualifications 2 paragraphs
Imagine you are a top real estate attorney. You are the senior attorney, plus the President/CEO of your legal company and you have a staff of 10 people who work for you. Think of a name for your future company. For this report, you will be writing the paper from the viewpoint of an attorney. Scroll down to the end to see an example.
Instructions for “My Qualifications”
Begin with your name, date, and class number at the top of the paper. Each paragraph must be 5 complete sentences. Spelling, punctuation, and grammar count! Remember to capitalize “I”.
Paragraph #1: My skills and my characteristics (Strengths).
For your final paper, you will write one paragraph about your qualifications, specifically about your education, experience, and future real estate licensing (no citations). Next, using the Strengths Assessment list below, analyze your leadership skills and character strengths as they relate to your real estate career success. Incorporate 3 of your strengths and identify how they will benefit your future real estate career. Make the connection between your qualifications and strengths and your real estate career.
Paragraph #2: My future licensing and my career goals.
In this paragraph, write 5 sentences about your real estate career and your future company goals. Consider discussing how your future real estate law practice will be highly qualified and the best company in the area. Close your eyes and dream for a few minutes — it’s okay to think BIG! Refer to the textbook Chapter 1 (pages 1, 4-5) for a list of critical success skills you can incorporate into your company because of your leadership.
If you use any sources (other than your own original work), you MUST cite them in your paragraph, and reference them at the end.

Students, now it is time to incorporate 3 of your strengths and identify how they will benefit your real estate career. Listed below are some character traits that demonstrate good work ethic and enhance your success as a real estate professional. Which ones do you share?

Also among my top strengths are being determined, insightful, and sincere. Determination helps me to overcome obstacles in the real estate field. Insightfulness and sincerity are important when selling properties to buyers. My goal is to become a respected real estate attorney in the high desert area. Prior to that, I plan to earn my broker’s license and open my own brokerage firm within the next 10 years. By operating my own company, I will have the opportunity for multiple sources of income that include residential sales, commercial leasing, and property management.
