The video explains that the father was involved in a Confederate/Neo-Nazi organization. The father Jeff Hall is described as a devoting father and husband. The police and investigators challenged the exposure of hatred and Nazi organization as the motive of this crime, but as the reporters and investigators interviewed Jeff hall’s family to figure out why a 10-year-old would kill his own father. The family relates that the father had anger issues and sometimes took it out on his son and wife. The grandmother, Jeff’s family, also added that Joseph H. had a few anger problems and was not surprised her grandson Joseph killed her son Jeff. In the end the main problem was the abuse and maltreatment Joseph was receiving from his father Jeff. It also backfired on Jeff because he trained his son how to use a gun and did not have the gun in a safe or out of reach. Joseph’s parents failed him, and He took it upon himself to solve a problem his mother should have. Q1: The father and mother neglected structure and nurturing in the home. All the maltreatment Joseph was receiving reflected on the past violence he portrayed in school. As the assign officer, I would help him get treatment and find him a new way to release anger or frustration. Assuming he killed his father because he wanted change, I would explain to him that what he did was wrong. He could’ve reach out for help. It would be up to the education he receives that make him a better person.  Q2. According to our text, the age ranges defining juvenile offenders vary from state to state. I personally, believe that a child starts learning what is good and bad at 7 years old, when given proper care and discipline. Children notice who they can go to for help and what adult is safe to be around. In Joseph’s case, He committed a crime in self-defense. He wanted to end the abuse that he was receiving from his father.
