Week 3 Assignment 1 – Administrator-in-Training Rotation Experience

Course Objective for Assignment:

• Differentiate the diverse organizations that comprise the long-term care service delivery system including the future challenges faced by these organizations in the context of long-term care administration.

As an LTC AIT student your task this week will be to demonstrate the knowledge you have obtained from your first weekly rotations.

Complete Section 1 of the Report

• Select the LTC Settings and Services:
  • Two LTC facilities/settings from Your Week 2 Rotation. (LTC Living Arrangements/Facilities)
    • Some Examples: SNF, including short-term rehab and long-term care skilled nursing facilities, ALFs, ILFs, CCRCs, Memory Care Facilities, Psychiatric LTC Facilities, Pediatric SNFs, Hospice Facilities, Respite Facilities, Developmental Disabled Facilities, LTC Mental Health Facilities, or other LTC Facilities – be specific.
  • Two LTC HCBS and/or Community Living Options from Your Week 3 Rotation. (LTC Community and Home-Based Services)
    • Some Examples: Hospice at home, Home Health Agencies, Palliative Care at home, Adult Day Centers, Homemaking Services, Personal Care Services, Senior and/or Development Disabilities meal services, Personal group homes, Senior Centers, Pediatric Illness Day Care Services, Companion Services, LTC Durable Medical Equipment Services, and other options for seniors/pediatric/mental health/ and developmental disabled services provided in a home or community setting – be specific.
• APA: Include a minimum of three APA 7th Edition formatted references with correlating in-text citations for Section 1. All scholarly references must be from the last five years.

• Select Six Companies from the lists below:
  • Two Companies from List 1
  • Two Companies from List 2
  • Two Companies from List 3
• Research Your Selected Companies: Respond to the questions provided in the LTC Settings and Services Report for each selection.
• APA: You MUST cite each company, facility, and/or service presented in Section Two using APA 7th Edition Formatting. All additional scholarly references presented in this section must be from the last five years.

AIT Rotation Experience Summary: Provide a brief analysis of any new insights, learning experiences, or new knowledge gained from the Week 1 through Week 3 rotations. The AIT Rotation Experience Summary should be 2-3 paragraphs long.

APA: Include a minimum of three APA 7th Edition formatted references with correlating in-text citations for your AIT Rotation Experience Summary. All scholarly references must be from the last five years, you may use prior references provided in the report for Section 3.
